Spectro Cloud Palette VerteX enables agencies to deploy and manage AI/ML applications on Kubernetes at the edge, simply, securely and at scale — for true decision advantage.
Get a demoSpectro Cloud Palette VerteX has earned "Awardable" status, recognized by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) in the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace.
We've also been deemed "Awardable" on the Platform 1 (P1) Solutions Marketplace, a digital repository of post-competition, 5-minute long readily-awardable pitch videos, which address the Government’s greatest requirements in hardware, software and service solutions.
Principal architect Justin Barksdale walks through how Spectro Cloud Palette VerteX makes it easy to design, deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters and AI software stacks wherever your mission demands.
Watch nowMany AI workloads only achieve their full potential when deployed not in the data center, but in edge locations, closest to both the data and the warfighter.
But it is extremely challenging to deploy and manage AI infrastructure and application stacks to edge environments in the air, on land, and sea, at scale.
Edge devices may be disconnected and are exposed to unique security threats, yet need to be easily deployed and managed, and remain highly-available, observable, patched and secured — in their thousands.
Until now, no solution has been able to meet all of these requirements while operating at scale, and to the necessary security standards.
Spectro Cloud Palette VerteX is a management platform that makes it easy to deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters, and AI software stacks, in any public cloud, data center or edge location — at scale. It’s a key component of fulfilling the CDAO’s mission to accelerate DoD adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence from the boardroom to the battlefield.
Today, Palette VerteX enables teams to:
Model the full software stack, from OS and Kubernetes to AI frameworks and models
Repeatably deploy that stack to target environments, with low-touch and zero-touch device onboarding options for field environments
Secure edge devices from the silicon to the app, including OS immutability, software hardening, security scans and zero trust
Operate edge devices at scale, even in disconnected and airgapped environments, with on-device AI inference through our LocalAI capability
Manage the full lifecycle of deployed devices, including patching, backups and observability
We’re also working to innovate new AI capabilities within the Palette platform, including the ability to distribute computationally intensive inferencing workloads across resource-constrained edge devices.
Now, all of your available tactical edge devices can be pooled together dynamically to respond to threats, perform complex analysis, and execute critical tasks at a fraction of the time it takes for a single device to do so.
Palette is an award-winning, FIPS-certified TRL-9 product that is already trusted by the US Air Force and Navy, plus some of the largest Global Federal System Integrators and commercial entities including GE HealthCare, Nokia, RapidAI and T-Mobile. By using Palette to deploy and manage AI stacks to edge environments, organizations can:
Many other solutions in the market claim to offer the ability to build and manage Kubernetes clusters. However, these solutions all have failings in terms of support for large-scale edge environments, limited software choice and flexibility, high overheads, or simply performance and stability issues.
Only Spectro Cloud Palette offers:
Ensure that each deployed cluster can operate autonomously, even when disconnected, and even when scaling to thousands of locations
Learn more >Immutability and trusted boot, plus validated FIPS cryptography across the management platform and edge clusters themselves
Learn more >Model each component of the edge stack, from hardware architecture to OS, Kubernetes distribution and AI models
Learn moreSimplify patching and upgrades, scaling, configuration changes, observability and more

Learn more about why Palette is different >Spectro Cloud Palette VerteX has a simple and scalable pricing model that’s based on the infrastructure being managed.
For edge devices, customers pay a single flat fee per managed edge host, per year.
For virtualized data center and cloud environments, where the size and utilization of Kubernetes clusters may vary significantly from month to month, Palette is billed based on the usage of CPU cores within the Kubernetes worker nodes being managed.
Contracts are typically negotiated annually based on predicted usage; in the event that usage exceeds predictions, billing is adjusted in a ‘true forward’ model for the following period, meaning no retroactive charges.
To enable pricing predictability, Spectro Cloud offers multi-year contracts, and volume-based discounts.
Additional charges apply for self-hosted or dedicated instances of the Palette management platform itself, and for premium technical support tiers.

“Our partnership with Spectro Cloud has helped us become more agile throughout the provisioning process while also providing us with an efficient way to remotely manage clusters.”
“With Palette, we’re able to maintain security and control, even in highly challenging edge environments and at high scale.”
“Server configuration varies for each AI module — by the competency center or healthcare system and also by site. We have to be able to monitor and control that configuration on a global scale, which is a non-trivial problem. The Spectro Cloud team has been helping us get us to the point where we have a single pane of glass through which we can monitor our entire infrastructure.”
